This week an article was posted in the New York Times, “Stanford Scientists Cast Doubt on Advantages of Organic Meat and Produce” which looked at research that spanned four decades and in summary concluded the following:
- There isn’t evidence that organic produce or meat is healthier than conventional
- There is no greater risk of bacteria between organic and conventional
As far as pesticides, there were more traces of pesticides found in conventional, but the levels are well below the recommended safe levels.

Well that makes me feel better – organic is so expensive!
“levels are well below the recommended safe levels.” – and who comes up with the level amounts? FDA that’s in bed with pharma and chemical companies? Please…
It was an interesting read.
I think this topic is far from over with respect to research and discussion. This is just one study that was produced this week.
