It’s always good to look at numbers from a financial standpoint and the article today in the Illinois Farmgate Blog is really good. Some of the numbers that caught my attention were the crop receipt numbers where prices will decline in 2010 compared to 2009. In addition, the article mentions that exports will be up. I am kind of curious about those figures. The figures are based on USDA predictions and this article does a good job of providing summary data. As always, these are forecasts, and as we know from last year forecasts can change month to month or week to week.
