Sulfur in DDGs

ISU research is looking closely at DDGs, in particular the nutritional content in a recent post.

What caught my attention was the information on sulfur. Sulfuric acid is used quite extensively in ethanol production and carry-over sulfur is a reason for concern.  Levels of sulfur need to be watched closely with respect to feed for animals.

The article points out that the DDGs industry is still a new field and more research is needed.
